Whitby Seafoods is a family business started by Daniel's father in 1985. Daniel works alongside his sister, Laura, and brother, Edward. Whitby Seafoods turns over approximately £60m across two sites, and employs over 400 people.
Daniel studied Economics at Newcastle University, and spent the first 5 years of his career in commercial property investment analysis, working in the City of London and Johannesburg, before returning to the family fold.
Prior to being Managing Director, Daniel worked in various roles at Whitby Seafoods, including Supply Chain Director, Operations Director, and Managing Director of the sister company (Kilkeel Seafoods) in Northern Ireland.
Daniel is passionate about seafood, driving change in UK fishing and finding insight through numbers.
