Location: FluidIT head office is in Leeds, West Yorkshire.  The role is currently home-based with 2-3 days a week travel to Leeds  expected when Covid restrictions lift.

Marketing Manager

Working within the Sales and Marketing function and reporting to the Commercial Director, the role of the Marketing Manager is to support the sales growth of the business, whilst achieving the strategic objectives of FluidIT’s marketing function, namely:

Strategic Market Position       

Ensure FluidIT has a clear market position that is understood internally and externally

Brand Promotion                       

Ensure a consistent brand voice and tone across all segmentations via various types of communication types and platforms

You will lead a small team, with support from partners, and be directly accountable for the following:

Lead Generation                      

Generate inbound interest in FluidIT’s portfolio of services

Content Creation                       

Generate compelling content aligned to brand messaging, service portfolio and thought leadership

Brand Promotion                        

Promote a wide array of content across the chosen platforms (e.g. social media, events etc.)

Campaigns                                   

Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns to support revenue generation, leveraging the CRM capabilities

Core Collateral                           

Generate and maintain all core collateral, including website, content template, company presentations, event stands

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand FluidIT’s position in the marketplace and help develop the story that the FluidIT website tells, continually improving it
  • Understand our clients and target markets and work with the sales team to build out personas and related content / messaging
  • Ensure the development of content, messaging and promotion of new service lines
  • Devise integrated campaigns with the aim of acquiring new clients and engaging existing customers
  • Deliver themed marketing content, that can be used across a range of channels and aimed at key business decision makers, influencers, stakeholders, and potential buyers within target organisations
  • Monitor and measure the impact of all relevant marketing activities to capture MQLs and to drive continuous improvements
  • Maintain and execute a Digital Marketing strategy utilising automation and workflow functionality in CRM to reach out to as many members of the FluidIT audience as possible, in the most efficient manner
  • Collaboratively curate compelling content with internal delivery teams, internal SMEs, and external SMEs; including articles, blog posts, videos and referenceable client advocacy to generate leads and support the sales team
  • Effectively manage the relationship with external agencies, content creators and relevant publications to ensure the highest impact and the greatest ROI from marketing & advertising investments
  • Take ownership of planning and implementing effective campaigns for each event and produce event marketing collateral, including seat-drop materials, and key takeaway insights
  • Maintain and enrich CRM data, segmenting data in line with campaigns to convey a targeted message
  • Develop FluidIT’s social media strategy across platforms, actively exploring opportunities to gain greater market exposure for the company
  • Manage and oversee FluidIT’s website to ensure that it remains up to date
  • Oversee relevant industry award applications, coordinating information from relevant SMEs
  • Identify appropriate 3rd party organisations to stage mutually beneficial industry events where there is a compelling business case for FluidIT to invest
  • Maintain information on and review the activities of competitors - suggest new ideas, for consideration, that differentiate FluidIT in the marketplace
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate and required by the company

Skills and Experience

  • Sound commercial experience within a B2B environment
  • Experience of executing marketing campaigns to B2B buyers and influencers
  • Experience of working with third parties and managing key relationships
  • Experience of leading teams / projects
  • Technology industry knowledge and experience preferable
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of CRM systems (HubSpot preferable)
